  • Don't want to play games or learn facts about the person sitting next to them. They are interested in their partner & their birth.

  • They don't want to be feel embarrassed or self conscious!
From this feedback we have designed a workshop that couples do want & feel comfortable attending:
  • No nonsense education in practical everyday language, using real life metaphors to help understanding.

What is the LK Massage Programme?
The award winning LK Massage Programme is a unique collection of specific and easy to learn massage techniques that have been designed by midwives, over many years, to support active labour and natural birth. The massage links closely with breathing control and visualisation. The LK Massage Programme is a pleasurable coping strategy to use, for first time mums and those with other children.Limit your need for drugs in childbirth by trying these effective massage techniques. It helps to prepare you and your baby physiologically and psychologically for a positive birth experience.

Who performs the massage?
Your birth partner will perform the majority of the massage, resulting in a well practiced partnership over the final month of pregnancy in preparation for labour.

What happens if my birth partner is temporarily unavailable?
Two self massage techniques are taught in the class that you can use to practice your slow rhythmic breathing and visualisation over the last month of pregnancy. These well rehearsed breathing and visualisation elements of the Programme will support you when your partner is temporarily unavailable to perform the massage.

Can I use the Programme if I have had a caesarean section before?

Yes, the Programme is very suitable for women who wish to experience a vaginal birth following a caesarean section. It is designed to encourage upright positions and free movement. Continual fetal heart monitoring may be recommended during your labour and should not inhibit the use of the Programme.

Can I use the Programme if I plan a waterbirth?
Yes, the Programme combines well with water. During the class these options will be discussed

Cost & Location information:
The programme is taught in your home during a 3 hour 1:1 session. The cost is £80 for the session, which includes a DVD of all techniques taught.
Our mums say...."I have used nearly all the baby massage techniques everyday after bathing baby and several of the baby yoga movements and songs as well at home so well worth the money."

Reflexology

Reflexology (specialising in maternity)

Reflexology has been around for many years. Reflexologists believe that the body is mapped out in reflex areas on the feet and by working these areas we can stimulate the body to heal itself.

Nicky has completed continuing professional training with midwife Reflexologist Suzanne Enzer and has vast experience of working with women across the spectrum, from those wishing to get pregnant right through the pregnancy to those wishing to use reflexology to prepare the body for labour and to “try to get things moving” at the end of their pregnancy.

Reflexology is most effective when given regularly. Regular appointments throughout your pregnancy really help the body prepare for labour and impending motherhood.

Most people find reflexology gives them a sense of deep relaxation leading to reduced stress levels. Reflexology has been known to help relieve a number of conditions including Migraines, Sleep Disorders, Fertility issues and many more…
