Note to Self - Reflective Writing Workshop

"Dear MummasNote to self,

How is your day going? Is it the best of times and the worst of times? Have you felt anger and adoration in equal measure? Are you panicking that these are supposed to be the best days of your life but they seem to be the hardest? Are you worried you aren’t enjoying it enough? Is it all far too much and not even close to enough?
You are doing so so well. But you, dear girls, are the engines and you need fuel and you need maintenance. You need a small pocket of time and space that is all yours. And a therapist who will be there 24/7, with no judgement, endless compassion and acceptance. This therapist is here. And she costs nothing. She is a pen, paper and you.
Writing therapy is a growing field, proven to help Vietnam veterans, teenage self-harmers, psychiatric prisoners and the terminally ill to ease their symptoms and deal with personal trauma. It boosts the immune system, there are no side effects and everyone can benefit from it.
I am running a course which will help you start to use writing to process your emotions, explore how
to come to terms with your shifting identity and help you to navigate the complicated web of
relationships. All you need is a pen, a notepad and a willingness to be honest with yourself. No
writing skill needed, no ability to spell and no requirement to share. This is your time. The start of Your Note to Yourself.
